Traumatic and Sports Injury Rehabilitation

A lot of injuries can also occur from physical activity such as sports or falling down. At our rehabilitation center, we can treat a number of problems to aid you in your sports injury recovery.

Sprains, Strains, and Fractures

For people who play sports, sprains and strains of the soft tissues are extremely common. These can occur when you fall down or twist suddenly. This overstretches or tears the muscles and tendons, causing pain and reducing your range of motion. Fractures, on the other hand, involve a break in the bone itself. These small cracks in the bone often occur because of a fall or direct impact to a certain part of your body. For this type of sports injury rehabilitation, we can offer physical therapy and certain stretches to help your regain strength and flexibility as you heal.

Shoulder Injuries

Since people who participate in tennis, swimming, throwing, or weightlifting use their shoulders a lot, shoulder injuries can be quite common among these athletes. Any time you overuse your shoulder or do a lot of repetitive motions, you put yourself at risk for developing an injury. Most people with a shoulder injury will experience pain, reduced range of motion, and stiffness. It may be hard to complete ordinary activities and you might hear a popping sound when you try to use your shoulder. While there are many different kinds of shoulder injuries, some of the more common ones include rotator cuff tears, sprains or strains, or fractures. Luckily, at our rehabilitation center, we can treat all of these injuries to help you get back in the game in no time.
