Comprehensive Wellness Panel
We've added to our diagnostic tests a very important blood panel that I recommend everyone to do. It's different from a regular blood panel that you do at your doctor's office because it also gives me genetic markers, metabolic markers, and complete health diagnostics that allow me to tell you how to live your lifestyle to the best of your ability according to your genetics and current systems health scenario.
Some people can't digest certain foods because their genes prevent them from breaking down certain key nutrients, In this case we must give the patient an already broken down form of the vitamin or essential nutrient.
Some genetic markers can predict your susceptibility to Parkinson's or Alzheimer's Disease once we find this out, there are specific diets or lifestyle changes that these patients have to do for prevention. For example:
- One test can predict whether you will get diabetes within the next 5 years.
- Another test lets me know if the medications that you are currently taking have the correct effect on you or if you are just experiencing the side effects
These tests are so important to have done because you can live your life knowing more about yourself and that will ultimately allow you to make the right educated decisions.
Everyone is different and has different results. A great example of how we are helping people is this - A patient walks into our clinic with chronic fatigue, the inability to lose weight effectively, body aches and pains and insomnia. They have been going to doctors all over and the doctors are dumbfounded, they say "psychosomatic disorder", or they label you with fibromyalgia a diagnosis that is really not understood and put you on pain meds FOR LIFE. Finally they have the blood work done at our clinic and see that even though the regular blood panel that they had done at their doctors office was within the normal range they now see that key markers that influence their metabolism is off, their small particle lipoprotein levels are off, their genetics have intolerance to certain foods or digestive problems. and more.
I have been using these tests in order to aid my patients with lifestyle changes and making the right decisions. In just a few months we are able to see patients improve.
We run the blood panel 2-3x a year, the first is for a baseline to see where you are genetically and how your all your bodies systems are functioning. The second test is run 3 - 6 months later. We work with the patient during that time to make changes to their lifestyle and help them improve their overall health, Within 3 months we see dramatic results.
