TENS Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation

TENS Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation

TENS, also known as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is a form of electrical stimulation that is used on areas of pain. It works by blocking the transmission of pain signals and promoting the release of endorphins. This treatment for back pain is great for acute back pain relief.  Standard electrical stimulation for back pain relief works by placing electrodes directly on the skin. These electrodes send out pulses that lower inflammation, put an end to pain, and prevent muscle spasms. (TENS) TENS therapy is a technique that works by helping to reset injuries in your body to allow them to heal properly. The chiropractor will use a handheld device to transfer kinetic energy into your body, creating a wave that pulsates through tissues to reduce pain and promote healing. TENS therapy is a great tool for treating tendonitis, scar tissue, and chronic pain or injuries.
